Join a creative one-day course at Tempa Håndværk, where you can learn the traditional crafts of woodturning and basket weaving in calm and inspiring surroundings. The courses are suitable for both beginners and advanced participants, and also ideal for teachers, educators, or staff from institutions and day centres.
Practical Information
Duration: A full course day, approx. 09:00–16:00.
Price woodturning: 1,200 DKK incl. materials.
Price basket weaving: 750 DKK + materials.
There is also an option for one-to-one woodturning instruction (1,300 DKK/day).
There are only 4 participants per course — ensuring plenty of time for personal guidance and tasks tailored to your level.
Remember to bring your lunch — coffee and tea are provided!
What You Will Learn
Woodturning: Turn your own bowl, jar, or decorative objects from beautiful, characterful wood. You will learn to use professional turning tools (e.g. lathes from Stratos and JET), proper sharpening and shaping techniques. You can also explore decorative techniques such as texturing, airbrush colouring, wax, or markers — depending on your interests and skill level.
Basket Weaving: Experience the joy of weaving with cane, rattan, or natural materials to create durable, handmade baskets. Even with basic techniques, you can make beautiful baskets for storage, decoration, or gifts. The level of difficulty is adapted to your experience.
