The Coastal Route on Mors – hiking between fjord, moler and open expanses
Experience the Coastal Route on Mors with a 3-day walking stay along the Limfjord.
Here sweeping views, moler cliffs and peaceful stretches along the water await – a walk at nature's own pace.
A walk where the fjord accompanies you all the way
Mors is made for walking. Along the Coastal Route you move close to the Limfjord, where the waves, the light and the salty air accompany you through the landscape.
You can put together your own trip – or choose a ready-planned experience where the route, accommodation and meals are arranged. The options are many, and the trip can be adapted to your pace and preferences.
From Nykøbing to Nordmors – through the island's greatest natural experiences
The walk begins in Nykøbing Mors and follows the Coastal Route northward towards Nordmors. Along the way the landscape opens up into sweeping views over the Limfjord, and you move through a varied natural environment of coastal stretches, hills and open expanses.
You stay close to both the Moler Museum and Skarregaard – two places that offer insight into the island's history and nature, and ideal stopping points along the way.
The route also takes you past some of Mors' most prominent viewpoints. At Salgjerhøj, the highest point on the island, and at the impressive moler cliff Hanklit, you are rewarded with views stretching across the Limfjord towards Thy and over the island's landscape.
On the final stage you can either continue along the Coastal Route and take the bus back to Nykøbing, or choose a more direct route across the island via Bjergby and Tøving.
