A Romanesque church in the open landscape

Sdr. Dråby Kirke consists of a Romanesque chancel and nave and is a classic village church in the area.

The church is beautifully situated just 150 metres from Dråby Vig, where landscape and church interior are closely connected.

Furnishings from the Renaissance

The pulpit is an early Renaissance work and was installed in 1590.

The altarpiece dates from around 1640 and represents the same historical period.

Traces of the original medieval altar

The original Romanesque altar table has since been demolished.

The altar slab with its saint's tomb has been preserved and now serves as a stepping stone in front of the porch door – a visible trace of the church's earliest history.
