Here you'll encounter a Romanesque church by the Limfjord where granite ashlar blocks, traces of the nobility and fine details tell stories from several centuries.
In the heart of Mors you'll find a church of strength and history
Sejerslev Kirke is a large and well-maintained church dedicated to St Nicholas.
It consists of a Romanesque nave, chancel and apse built from granite ashlar blocks, supplemented by a late Gothic tower and porch. The church's setting and solid materials lend a particular weight and calm to the landscape.
Details that speak – from stone faces to Rococo decoration
Even from outside you are met by two faces carved into the tower wall – small, enigmatic witnesses from the past.
Inside the stories continue: an altarpiece from 1601, an enclosed manorial pew with painted Rococo decorations and pew ends with carved coats of arms.
The pulpit, executed by Niels Snedker from Selde in the mid-17th century, is a particular highlight. It consists of six panels, three of which form an oriel facing north – a fine example of the craftsmanship and design of the period.
