Ejerslev Havn – coastal fishing between moler cliffs and depth

At Ejerslev Havn a stretch of coastline begins where the landscape quickly changes character. From the calm harbour environment you head northward towards Hulhøjen, where the fjord opens up and the fishing really gets going.

Here you can clearly feel how nature and water work together.

Leopard bottom and depth close to shore

The seabed along this stretch is classic leopard bottom, with a mix of stones, sand and seaweed.

This creates good hiding places and feeding areas, and at the same time the water drops to a relatively considerable depth close to the shore.

It is precisely this combination that makes the area interesting for coastal fishing throughout the year.

Fishing along the cliff

The stretch heading north is popular among anglers looking for variety and good chances of a catch.

It is a coastline where it pays to keep moving and read the water as you go, as conditions change with both current and wind.

Be aware at high tide

The high cliffs in several places lie very close to the water's edge. At high tide the passage can become narrow or difficult, and this requires care when moving along the coast.
